Manchester United fans say the same thing about Diogo Dalot amid PSG speculation

Manchester United fans have urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to give Diogo Dalot a chance to prove himself in the first team amid speculation linking him with Paris Saint-Germain.

Dalot remains on the fringes at United with injuries restricting him to just 65 minutes of Premier League action this season. The 21-year-old was fit enough to travel to Cologne for the Europa League finals but didn't play in either of the games there and he hasn't started a game for United since the FA Cup quarter-final victory against Norwich in June.

Portuguese outlet O Jogo report both PSG and Everton are monitoring his situation at Old Trafford ahead of a potential summer transfer. Carlo Ancelotti reportedly views the 21-year-old as a long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman while the French champions are keen to add competition on both flanks. Barcelona are also said to be admirers of the defender.

Dalot still has three years remaining on his United contract and has opted to continue treatment for his latest injury rather than go on holiday.

United fans believe the defender deserves another chance to prove to Solskjaer that he has a future with the Reds.

Failing that, supporters want to see the former Porto man loaned out in order to gain vital first-team minutes to get his career back on track.

Dalot will have one eye on next summer's European Championship as he is yet to be capped at senior level for Portugal.

He faces competition from Barcelona's Nelson Semedo, Manchester City's Joao Cancelo and Leicester's Ricardo Pereira for a place in the squad.
