Manchester United fans say same thing after noticing what Scott McTominay did against Chelsea FC

Manchester United fans have hailed midfielder Scott McTominay after noticing what the 22-year-old did late into injury time during the 2-1 win against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.

Marcus Rashford opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 25 minutes before Michy Batshuayi hit back for the hosts after the interval. However, a sensational Rashford free-kick restored United's lead and set them on their way to their third consecutive win in all competitions.

In the absence of Paul Pogba, McTominay was superb in the centre again, winning five tackles - more than any other midfielder - and only Aaron Wan-Bissaka had more touches than the Scotland international.

Eagle-eyed Manchester United fans noticed what McTominay did with the clock approaching 92 minutes and Chelsea searching for a last gap equaliser.

The midfielder was seen furiously issuing positional instructions to his teammates as United prepared to take a free-kick on the halfway line in order to avoid a potential Chelsea counter attack.

Fans were quick to praise their talisman and highlighted the leadership qualities he continues to display.

United supporters were in agreement that McTominay was quickly becoming a future club captain.
