Manchester United fans react to starting line-up vs Norwich City as Mason Greenwood benched

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick has named his starting line-up for Manchester United's teatime clash with Norwich City at Carrow Road, making wholesale changes.

United, who have won each of their last four clashes with Norwich in the league and cup, will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to life under Rangnick and extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to six matches.

The Reds, albeit with a much-changed side, maintained their unbeaten run in midweek with a 1-1 draw against Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League, as Rangnick took up the opportunity to assess his squad in great depth.

The German, who is sampling the taste of taking charge of United away from home for the very first time this evening, has made decided to make 11 changes to the side that drew in midweek, meaning he has reverted back to the exact same side that beat Crystal Palace last weekend.

Rangnick, who will be looking to lead United to a first away win in the Premier League since the 3-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur in October, will be hoping that his decision to stick with what worked so well against Palace pays off, despite Mason Greenwood and Luke Shaw being amongst those knocking on the door for a starting berth after impressing in midweek.

It is Rangnick's decision to leave Greenwood, who scored against Young Boys, on the bench that has attracted the most attention from the United supporters in the immediate aftermath of his starting line-up being confirmed.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some United supporters have had to say on social media in response to the decision.

As you can see from the messages displayed above, Rangnick's decision to call upon Marcus Rashford to help Cristiano Ronaldo lead the line in place of Greenwood has annoyed some supporters. Greenwood looked sharp in midweek and took his goal excellently, meaning a number of supporters hoped he'd start once again at Carrow Road.

United starting line-up: De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles; Fred, McTominay; Sancho, Fernandes; Ronaldo, Rashford.

United substitutes: Heaton, Henderson, Bailly, Jones, Shaw, Lingard, Van de Beek, Elanga, Greenwood.
