Manchester United fans react to Roy Keane's comments about David de Gea

Roy Keane’s furious rant about David de Gea at half-time of Manchester United’s match at Tottenham Hotspur unsurprisingly caught the attention of a large amount of football-following Twitter users.

Keane said he was 'flabbergasted' after United ’s number one was unable to keep out Steven Bergwijn’s strike to put Spurs ahead in the 27th minute.

The Dutchman’s first-half goal was enough to give Jose Mourinho’s side a 1-0 lead going into the half-time break.

United were fifth going into the game and with Spurs just four points behind them, a win for the home side would see them go to within a point of the visitors.

The former United captain has never been one to sit on the fence and he tore into De Gea, prompting plenty of discussion on Twitter.

Patrice Evra, who is in the Sky Sports studio with Keane and presenter Kelly Cates, disagreed with one of the Irishman’s claims about De Gea, after Keane called the Spaniard “overrated”.

Keane was also critical of De Gea after a mistake he made in a draw with Everton earlier in the year.
