Manchester United fans react to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's new deal

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has signed a brand new three-year deal with the option for a fourth with the club and fans are loving it.

The Norwegian re-joined United in December 2018 as a caretaker manager, taking over from the recently sacked Jose Mourinho for the remainder of the season. A great spell of form, including a memorable comeback win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, saw him handed the job permanently on a three-year deal.

With his deal set to expire next summer, United have acted quickly to tie him down to a new contract until 2024 with the option to extend it to 2025 too. Fans have responded to the news on social media in a positive way, with the hopes that he can lead them to a Premier League title in the near future.

Solskjaer is yet to win a trophy with the club but has brought unity back to the side that had been missing in recent years.

The club have chosen to back the boss after signing Jadon Sancho this summer, while also chasing the likes of Raphael Varane and Kieran Trippier too.

United finished as Premier League and Europa League runners-up last season but with the squad being bolstered, expectations will be high going into the new season but the hierarchy are clearly very happy with the job he has been doing, as are fans.
