Manchester United fans are hoping that Jadon Sancho arrives at Old Trafford next summer after his match winning performance in the German Supercup against Bayern Munich.
As Bayern secured the league and cup double last season, they faced Bundesliga runners up Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park in the season curtain raiser and it was Sancho who once again stole the show.
The winger is going into his second full season after emerging as one of the world's hottest teenage prospects in the previous champaign after being sold by Man City in 2017, in which he scored 13 goals, made 19 assists and became a regular in the England set up - all at the age of 19.
Sancho picked up where he left-off on Saturday against Bayern with a brilliant performance in which he set up the opener and scored a second with some sensational individual magic.
For the first goal he received the ball on the half-way line, galloped forward, ghosted past four challenges, nutmegged a player with his pass which teed up Paco Alcacer to score from the edge of the area.
Sancho's goal was another masterclass in counter attacking as he once again received the ball in his own half, ran the length of the pitch and smashed the ball between the legs of Manuel Neuer.
United wanted to sign the winger earlier in the summer as he is a player that perfectly fills Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's new strategy but it became clear pretty quick that he wouldn't be going anywhere.
United fans, however, believe they should once again try and bring Sancho back to Manchester next summer.
