Donny van de Beek saw his reputation soar as Ajax reached the last four of the Champions League last season.
The 22-year-old Dutch midfielder scored in the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the competition as Erik ten Hag's side came within seconds of reaching the Madrid final.
Van de Beek ended the campaign with 17 goals and 13 assists in all competitions, a return that put him firmly in the shop window for potential suitors.
Manchester United are in need of reinforcements in central midfield so it will have been music to supporters' ears on Monday to hear that Van de Beek is keen on a move to England, with Old Trafford one of his preferred destinations.
Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan told talkSPORT: "Van de Beek has his eyes set on the Premier League.
"He is a proper Premier League player with an Ajax education and can play in many positions in midfield. He wants a move to Man United or Spurs and his agent says if that materialises that would be right up his street."
Needless to say, United fans are keen to see him signed up.
