Manchester United fans have been relieved to see Donny van de Beek make Manchester United's starting XI.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side begin their Champions League campaign against BSC Young Boys on Tuesday night and the United boss has handed Van de Beek his first start of the season alongside Fred in the double pivot - Nemanja Matic is on the bench.
After playing a key role in Ajax's Champions League success, Van de Beek arrived at Old Trafford last summer with a reputation as one of Europe's most exciting midfielders, however, his career in Manchester has since stuttered and he's been sporadically involved.
The Dutchman has made just one brief appearance - against Newcastle - in the Premier League for United this season, too.
That left supporters wondering whether Van de Beek would ever get the opportunity to prove himself under Solskjaer, but he's now been given that chance when being named in the Reds' starting XI in United's Champions League opener against BSC Young Boys.
United fans have subsequently taken to social media to express their relief at Solskjaer's decision to start Van de Beek.
United play BSC Young Boys on Tuesday night and then they'll have four days to rest before Sunday's visit away to West Ham.
