Manchester United fans have been expressing their delight on social media after the club confirmed the signing of Daniel James on Friday.
United said in a statement that the club "is delighted to announce that it has agreed, in principle, terms with both Swansea City and Daniel James for his transfer to the club.
"Daniel has successfully completed a medical at the Aon Training Complex.
"Further details will be communicated once the international transfer window opens next week."
With the first signing of the summer transfer window secured Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can continue rebuilding the team in his image following the disappointing end to the previous campaign.
James rose to prominence in the past season and was the shining light in an otherwise middling Swansea side.
The 21-year-old really started to gather attention after an incredible goal against Brentford in the FA Cup, in which he showed his frightening pace to run with the ball from his own penalty area to the opposition's in a blink of an eye and slot past the goalkeeper.
James' performances nearly earned him a move to promotion chasing Leeds United in January but the deal fell through in the 11th hour.
Now less than half a year later the Welsh winger is set for a dream move to United, one which must have seemed impossible just two years ago when he couldn't get on the pitch while on loan at Shrewsbury.
