Manchester United fans react in the same way to Phil Jones' goal vs Leeds

Manchester United centre-back Phil Jones has been one of the unlikely talking points after he scored his first goal in five years against Leeds United in Perth, Australia.

The Red Devils continued their preparations for the 2019/20 Premier League campaign on Wednesday by winning 4-0 thanks to goals from Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Jones and Anthony Martial .

Jones hadn't scored for United since March 2014 but finally hit the back of the net with a rocket of a header in the second half.

Greenwood and Rashford had already given the Red Devils a 2-0 lead before Jones attacked Andreas Pereira’s corner and provided a bullet of a header which found the back of the net.

It's safe to say Jones, who joined United in 2011 from Blackburn Rovers, has not had a great deal of luck in front of goal in recent years.

The fact that he finally bagged a goal certainly got United fans talking on social media, with the majority shocked by the rare occurrence.
