Manchester United fans rave over Anthony Martial after brace in Newcastle win

Manchester United fans have heaped praise on forward Anthony Martial after he inspired Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men to a 4-1 victory against Newcastle at Old Trafford.

The pressure was on following last week's shock defeat against Watford and the Reds responded superbly to going behind after Matty Longstaff scored his second goal in as many games versus United.

It was Martial who started the comeback, firing a vicious effort at Martin Dubravka's near-post and the Magpies shot stopper was unable to get a firm hand behind the ball.

The ex-Monaco forward was a constant danger to Newcastle's back line and got his second goal of the game after the break, latching onto Sean Longstaff's wayward back pass before lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper in sublime fashion. The Frenchman also rattled the post with his third shot of the game.

Unfortunately for Martial, he was substituted before he was able to complete his hat-trick, with Solskjaer keeping one eye on Saturday's fixture away to Burnley.

Nevertheless, United fans were delighted with his performance and took to social media to praise the 24-year-old.
