Manchester United fans are full of praise for Phil Jones and Chris Smalling's performances in the middle of defence in the tight 2-1 victory against Watford.
Some United supporters were initially concerned when the team-sheets were released prior to kick-off and Jones and Smalling were partnered together, with Victor Lindelof unavailable.
The pair proved their doubters wrong with a strong performance.
Jones was enjoying his first start since the 3-0 victory against Fulham at the beginning of February following illness.
It was tough game against a combative Watford side who took the game to United and could have taken the lead on several occasions.
Instead they squandered their chances and were punished when Luke Shaw played through Marcus Rashford who lifted the ball over Ben Foster in the Watford net.

The Hornets were again the stronger side in the second half but their momentum was haltered when Anthony Martial doubled the lead.
Abdoulaye Doucoure scored late on to set up a nervy final few minutes but United managed to hold on, thanks in large part to the performance of Jones and Smalling at the back.
