Manchester United fans have lauded the defensive work of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof for helping their side beat Manchester City.
United stormed into an early 2-0 lead at the Etihad after Marcus Rashford won a penalty and converted it himself, before Anthony Martial's left-footed drive beat Ederson at his near post.
Rashford also hit the bar in that first half salvo from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side , although City sparked a revival late in the first half and upon resumption in the second. They might have been awarded a penalty when the ball struck Fred's arm, while Lindelof snuffed out a couple of dangerous looking attacks from the home side.
Nicolas Otamendi's header brought it back to 2-1 with five minutes of regulation time remaining, before United managed to see out the game.
Lindelof, who has seen his place come under threat from Axel Tuanzebe this season, was justifiably lauded by United fans for his performance in the Manchester derby.
The Swede also starred in United's 2-1 win over Tottenham in midweek and looks to be in fine form.
The other player to gain huge plaudits from United's fans was Wan-Bissaka, who was tasked with keeping Raheem Sterling shacked and made a succession of terrific blocks and tackles to keep Pep Guardiola's side at bay.
