Manchester United fans praise Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for two team selection decisions vs Tottenham

Manchester United fans think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has got his starting XI vs Tottenham spot on, with Scott McTominay and Mason Greenwood featuring in an attacking line up.

McTominay has been out injured in recent weeks, and his absence has been notable with Andreas Pereira and Fred struggling in midfield.

However, McTominay has recovered from his injury to regain his place in the United starting line up, at the expense of Pereira who has come in for criticism recently. His return was expected after becoming an important player in Solskjaer's first choice line up.

The braver selection decision comes in attack, with teenager Greenwood replacing the injured Anthony Martial. In the past, Solskjaer has opted to play Marcus Rashford and Daniel James in a makeshift front two, but the inclusion of Greenwood means Rashford can remain in his more natural wide position and Greenwood comes in as a like-for-like replacement for Martial.

And fans felt that approach will pay off for Solskjaer, rather than if he had adopted a more defensive formation against Jose Mourinho's Spurs side.
