Manchester United fans praise Brandon Williams for taunting Liverpool FC

Manchester United fans have praised Brandon Williams after he appeared to taunt fierce rivals Liverpool on social media.

Williams has established himself as a fans' favourite at Old Trafford during his breakthrough season, with the local lad earning praise for his tenacious approach.

The 19-year-old has made such an impact at United that the club have even scrapped plans to sign a new left-back, and his latest social media activity will raise his popularity even more.

Jurgen Klopp's side have been by far and away the best side in English football this season and would have been due to celebrate their inevitable Premier League title triumph this weekend.

However, Liverpool's agonising wait for a league title has been extended due to the coronavirus pandemic and it remains to be seen how the Premier League season will actually be concluded.

To mark what should have been the end of the English league season Sport Bible took to Instagram to remind its followers that Liverpool would have got their hands on the trophy this weekend.

Williams was amongst the thousands of people to like the post, and United fans have praised the teenager for supposedly taunting their rivals.

"Nice one Brandon! Love this guy already!" wrote one fan on Reddit, while another added: "Love this guy." Another added to the thread by commenting: "Oldschool mentality, love this kid."
