Although many supporters were happy to see Lindelof dominate the results there was a general consensus that there is no outstanding candidate for the position.
One user replied saying: "There isn’t a single leader at the club and there hasn’t been for a long time!" while another made a comparison with the former players to have held the armband: "You look at captains of the past Robson, Bruce, Cantona, Keane all born leaders and showed passion for the team then you look at this list."
