Manchester United fans name their Chelsea envy as Jadon Sancho frustration grows

Manchester United fans are frustrated with the club's lack of activity in the transfer market thus far, especially compared with the excellent business Chelsea are getting done.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping to add to his forward options to build on his side's potential and turn them into title challengers, but it has been a slow start to the summer.

United missed out on teenage prodigy Jude Bellingham to Borussia Dortmund and have also been unable to sign top targets Jadon Sancho or Jack Grealish, as of yet.

Dortmund star Sancho is the priority but a deal isn't any closer to being completed as Dortmund are adamant that he will be remaining with the club for the coming season.

United haven't given up on signing the 20-year-old and remain in negotiations with his and Dortmund's representatives but his wage demands and agent fees, as well as the actual transfer fee, remain stumbling blocks.

Chelsea, in contrast, have had a great start to their transfer window. They have long had playmaker Hakim Ziyech and striker Timo Werner signed up and look set to complete three more impressive deals.

Bayer Leverkusen prospect Kai Havertz, Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell and experienced centre-back Thiago Silva of Paris Saint-Germain are all strong contenders to join the Stamford Bridge club.

Understandably, some supporters are throwing envious glances towards Stamford Bridge as frustration continues to grow over United's struggles in the market.

United have until October 5 when the transfer window closes to complete their business but will be back in competitive action long before that.

Solskjaer's players have been afforded an extra week's rest due to their participation in the Europa League but their new Premier League campaign will begin on September 19 at home to Crystal Palace.
