Manchester United fans name problem with starting line up vs LASK in Europa League

Manchester United fans are disappointed that so few young players have been given a chance from the off against LASK Linsk.

After a a short break following the conclusion of the Premier League, United return to action tonight as they take on Austrian outfit LASK in the second leg of their Europa League last 16 tie.

The first leg was played in March before football was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic and United returned from the trip with a 5-0 victory, all but sealing their spot in the next round where they'll meet either Copenhagen or Istanbul Basaksehir in Germany.

With United holding such a large advantage after the first game, fans were hoping to see some exciting prospects from the academy get an opportunity in the reverse fixture.

However, although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made nine changes to the side that secured Champions League qualification against Leicester, first team regular Brandon Williams is the only teenager in the side.

Talented trio James Garner, Tahith Chong and Teden Mengi are all on the bench while full-back Ethan Laird has not even been named among the substitutes.

Some United fans are disappointed with the lack of youngsters in the team and there are also concerns that Harry Maguire has not been given a rest as he has started all 12 games since the restart.

Manchester United starting XI vs LASK : Romero; Fosu-Mensah, Bailly, Maguire, Williams; McTominay, Fred; Mata, Lingard, James; Ighalo.

Substitutes: Grant, Pogba, Martial, Rashford, Pereira, Fernandes, Greenwood, Wan-Bissaka, Matic, Garner, Chong, Mengi.
