Manchester United fans name problem with team to face Luton

Manchester United fans are disappointed to see Teden Mengi named on the bench for the Carabao Cup clash against Luton Town.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rotated his squad following the Premier League loss to Crystal Palace ahead of Saturday's trip to Brighton.

Dean Henderson replaces David de Gea to make his United debut while Aaron Wan-Bissaka returns at right-back. Harry Maguire keeps his place at centre-back, partnered by Eric Bailly with Brandon Williams at left-back.

Donny van de Beek makes his first start since joining from Ajax after making a goal scoring start to his Old Trafford career off the bench against Palace. Fred and Nemanja Matic also come into the team.

Mengi, 18, has been officially promoted to the senior squad after impressing in training and made his competitive bow in the Europa League back in August.

Many fans expected the youngster to be given a start against the Championship side but he is forced to settle for a place on the bench.

Manchester United XI to face Luton: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Bailly, Williams; Fred, Matic; Lingard, Mata, Van de Beek; Ighalo.
