Manchester United fans met with live stream of the 'Gerrard Slip' as they leave Old Trafford after Derby defeat

It's not all been doom and gloom for United fans who were met with a welcomed screening of the 'Gerrard Slip' as they left Old Trafford tonight.

The Liverpool skipper's famous fall against Chelsea three years ago was beamed on to the Liverpool Warehousing Company outside the stadium.

Despite turning out to be a publicity stunt from Parklife Festival , the screening certainly lifted a smile from a few downtrodden fans after the team's 2-0 defeat to Man City .

It's been five years since Gerrard's almighty fall which ultimately dashed The Reds' title hopes but it seems rival teams are reluctant to let it go.

Whilst Parklife seemed to have missed the anniversary by three days - 'Gerrard Slip Day' is actually April 27 - fans took to social media to praise the video which lifted spirits this evening.

Colin Reid wrote: "After another abject performance, at least got a chuckle with the Gerrard slip being beamed on to the Liverpool Warehousing Company."

SibsMUFC wrote: "Somebody was busy projecting the Gerrard Slip on repeat outside Old Trafford."

Man City's win in tonight's derby saw them secure their spot at the top of the Premier League ahead of Sunday's game against Burnley.
