Manchester United fans make the same comparison after Harry Kane wonder goal for Tottenham

Harry Kane has emphatically put to bed any suggestion that pre-season can be boring with his incredible strike for Tottenham today.

With Spurs drawing 2-2 against Juventus in second-half injury time, the Italian side were comfortable in possession on the half-way line.

But a slightly overhit pass allowed Spurs' Lucas Moura to poke the ball into Kane's path, and he stepped onto it and bent a first-time ball over former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny to win the game.

An earlier goal for former Manchester United man Cristiano Ronaldo and a debut assist for Tottenham's Tanguy Ndombele were set to be the main talking points from the game, but Kane had other ideas and his strike immediately went viral.

While United fans were rightly admiring the long-range goal, there was another message coming from the red half of Manchester.

That is because Kane's strike bore a resemblance to Wayne Rooney's three long-range goals across his career, as well as David Beckham's famous strike against Wimbledon.

So typically, United fans quickly ranked Kane's goal against the two Reds legends.

Wayne did it first

What a goal

Wow

He learned from the best

Magnificent

What a hit son
