Manchester United fans make same Dean Henderson remark as Sheffield United lose to Wolves

Manchester United fans have been pointing out how badly Sheffield United are doing without Dean Henderson.

The goalkeeper is back at United this season and looks set to vie with David De Gea for the starting XI after an impressive debut campaign in the Premier League on loan at Sheffield United.

Aaron Ramsdale was signed by the Blades as Henderson's replacement but his season got off to a nightmare start as he conceded two early goals against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

It left United fans pointing out how much Henderson must have improved the Blades' defence last season.

Askofuu: No Dean Henderson, no party!

Utd Bro: Looking at the match today, Dean Henderson is way better than we think he is.

UTFR: Sheffield Utd already missing Dean Henderson after just 20 minutes into the new season for them.

Kekic: Dean Henderson effect.

Tuka: Dean Henderson can't be replaced by Ramsdale.

Utd Connor: Dean Henderson carried Sheffield United.

Salim: Sheffield United getting battered. You miss Dean Henderson already?

Henderson's form prompted plenty of transfer speculation over his future in the summer.

The Blades were keen to take the 23-year-old back on loan, or even sign him permanently, whilst Chelsea were also linked with a move for the England youth international.

Yet he stayed at Old Trafford and signed a new contract.

His performance in a pre-season friendly against Aston Villa earned praise from manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"I thought Deano showed his authority back there and he played like a proper Man United goalkeeper," Solskjaer said after Saturday's 1-0 defeat.
