Manchester United fans make Romelu Lukaku transfer demand

Manchester United fans have demanded that the players are signing to provide service for Romelu Lukaku following his brace for Belgium.

Lukaku used his finisher instincts as he struck twice to breakdown a stubborn Scotland defence in the EURO 2020 qualifier. With Man City's Kevin De Bruyne adding a third late on.

The United striker has come in for some stiff criticism over the past season for his form in front of goal but his two goals in the EURO 2020 qualifier against Scotland took his international tally up to 48 goals in 81 games.

In fact, he has now scored 25 goals in his last 23 international appearances over the last two years, which is eight more than any other player for a European player in the same time period.

Yet at United he struggled this past season, scoring just 15 times in 45 apperances.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to add exciting, young talent to his squad this summer and has already got off to a good start with the signing of Daniel James, which is expected to be officially confirmed this week.

But there's plenty more work to be done to improve a squad that ended last season in awful fashion, with just two victories from the final 12 matches.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with new Inter manager Antonio Conte reportedly wanting to make him his first signing for the Serie A giants.

And Lukaku fueled speculation about his future after Tuesday night's game.

"I’ll speak with my club and my agent Federico Pastorello to make the best decision,” Lukaku said.

“I am going to enjoy my holidays with my family now. I know what I’ll do, but won’t say it. We’ll see. Do I expect a busy summer? Yes."

However, United fans have demanded the club look to sign players that can get the best out of Lukaku rather than selling him, as they believe it's something they could regret.
