Manchester United fans make predictable Amad Diallo demand following great Under-23s performance

Manchester United fans want to see Amad Diallo earn a swift call-up to the first-team following his sensational display for the Under-23s in Friday's victory over Blackburn Rovers.

It's not only the seniors who have enjoyed a free-scoring week of action, as Neil Wood's side played out a 10 goal thriller at Leigh Sports Village to defeat their Lancashire neighbours.

After twice clawing the game back and going in at the break with things level at 2-2, United's youngsters found themselves two goals down early in the second-half as a makeshift defence struggled.

Yet they weren't down and out as Amad inspired a thrilling comeback to turn the game around. The Ivorian already had an assist to his name in the first-half and he set up two more goals as United fought back to lead 5-4.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer speaks ahead of Everton

Amad's third assist had set up Shola Shoretire for his more traditional hat-trick of goals, before Amad then got on the score-sheet himself to add a sixth for United with a brilliant finish on the half-volley.

It's only the teenager's second appearance for the Under-23s after he made his debut last week against Liverpool, scoring twice.

Much like Facundo Pellistri in the first-half of the season, Diallo is being given time to settle in his new country by playing for the reserves following his move from Atalanta in January.

However, after another magnificent display, fans are growing impatient and already want to see him involved with the first-team.

They may not have to wait too long as Diallo was named in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad for the upcoming Europa League knock-out ties.

United travel to Real Sociedad for their round-of-32 first leg on February 18 and host the sixth-placed La Liga side on February 25 in the return leg.
