Manchester United fans make Paul Pogba and Laurent Koscielny comparison after Arsenal defender refuses to join pre-season tour

Manchester United fans have praised Paul Pogba's approach to pre-season despite his apparent desire to leave the club.

Pogba's agent Mino Raiola had cast doubt over whether Pogba would travel for the pre-season tour just 48 hours before the squad flew to Australia when he said the Frenchman wanted a transfer away from United.

But Pogba was among the 28-man party and played an active role in an open training session on Thursday. He also made a point of thanking the 12,000 fans who had come out to see the squad in Perth.

Raiola issued a statement earlier this week defending Pogba for his professionalism, and called on the club to work on a solution. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer then suggested there was an agenda against Pogba, and praised his midfielder for his attitude since returning to pre-season.

United fans had been reluctant to back a player who wanted to leave, but it appears their mind has been changed after Arsenal released a statement regarding their captain Laurent Koscielny.

Koscielny has refused to travel with the club to the US for pre-season, and Arsenal said they were disappointed with his actions.

The news prompted United fans to point out that Pogba has remained professional while speculation surrounds his future, whereas Koscielny and the likes of Neymar and Antoine Griezmann - who have also annoyed their clubs in recent weeks - have acted differently.

Seems unfair

Credit where it's due

Double standards

He's done the right thing

Maybe Solskjaer was right

It doesn't make sense
