Manchester United fans make Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams decision for Everton clash

Manchester United fans want Luke Shaw to start at left-back in today's Premier League clash with Everton.

Shaw started last weekend's Manchester derby and did a good job of shackling Man City wide man Bernardo Silva. It was his first start since hobbling off during United's clash with Crystal Palace in August with a hamstring problem.

Brandon Williams has deputised for Shaw at full-back at times this season and again stepped in against AZ Alkmaar.

After recalling both Shaw and Anthony Martial from injury for the derby, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: "You want as many good players on the pitch as possible.

"Especially when you play a fantastic team like Man City are. We know we’ll have to play up to our best to have a chance of a result."

MEN Sport asked United fans in a poll: "Who should start at left back for Manchester United vs Everton on Sunday?"

And Shaw just got the nod ahead of Williams and Ashley Young. A 50 per cent share voted for Shaw, 45 per cent for Williams and five per cent for veteran and club captain Young.

Solskjaer left Shaw out of the matchday squad against Alkmaar, suggesting the former Southampton star is set to play against Everton.

And it seems, despite how much Williams has impressed, that United fans want to stick with the more experienced Shaw.
