Manchester United fans make Liverpool FC claim after Brandon Williams denied penalty vs Wolves

Manchester United fans are furious that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were not awarded a penalty after Brandon Williams was sent tumbling, claiming Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane would have been awarded a spot kick.

On the half hour mark, Williams broke into the penalty area and was challenged by Wolves defender Leander Dendoncker.

Replays showed the Belgian make contact with the United youngster, rather than the ball, leading to multiple appeals from United players.

Referee Paul Tierney waved away the defender's claims for a penalty and the subsequent VAR check ruled there wasn't a clear and obvious error with his decision.

United fans were furious a penalty wasn't awarded, even more so following the full-time whistle as one goal could have prevented a replay from taking place.

Some supporters claimed that if it was Liverpool players such as Mane or Salah then the referee would have awarded the spot kick.

They took to social media to vent their frustrations.
