Manchester United fans make James Garner prediction vs Partizan in Europa League

Manchester United fans think James Garner will continue his fine form at youth level this season during his first senior start against Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League.

Making only his second first team appearance, Garner started alongside fellow youngster Brandon Williams - who continued from his full debut in the last Europa League game at AZ Alkmaar.

Garner, 18, has five goals and one assist in six appearances for United at youth level this season, and now starts for the first time for the senior team in Belgrade. He partners Scott McTominay in midfield.

Fans have been wanting to see Garner promoted for some time, and now have their wish as United look to continue their unbeaten record in the Europa League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has used the first two games in the competition to field a number of young players, with Axel Tuanzebe, Mason Greenwood and Williams among the academy stars impressing against Astana and Alkmaar so far. But with Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong not travelling - plus Ethan Laird missing out on a place in the matchday squad - Solskjaer has shown he won't fill his squad with youngsters for the sake of it.

That made Garner's introduction even more noteworthy, and fans were quick to predict he would translate his form for the U23s this season on Thursday night.
