Manchester United fans believe Facundo Pellistri will make an impact in the first-team sooner rather than later after netting in the mini-derby against Manchester City's Elite Development Squad.
Pellistri joined United on deadline day of the summer transfer window after impressing in Uruguay while working with former United striker Diego Forlan at Penarol.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stressed patience is required over the youngster's development though Pellistri regularly trains with the first-team and was included in the squad for the Champions League group phase.
The majority of Pellistri's game time has been with Neil Wood's development side and the forward is quickly making a name for himself with some impressive showings.
Pellistri got his first taste of Manchester derby action on Sunday against City's EDS and netted his third goal of the season.
United fans believe his time in the first-team is fast approaching as a result of his rapid progress.
United U23 manager Wood believes Pellistri's start to life at the club is encouraging but believes he still needs time to fully settle in.
He told MEN Sport earlier this month: "He's still settling in. He's been training with us this week and it has probably helped him being out on the pitch because he's got a better relationship with the players on the pitch and he understands their game more because he's training more with them. That can only help him.
"He is progressing nicely but I don't want to put too much pressure on him. He is working hard, trying to take in as much information as he can."
