Manchester United fans make Diogo Dalot prediction after Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer

Manchester United fans want Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to play Diogo Dalot on the right wing in the upcoming season after the arrival of

The former Crystal Palace right-back has been signed for a mammoth £45million fee, rising to £50million, so is expected to become United's first choice in that position for some time.

Where that leaves Portuguese youngster Dalot, who arrived for £19million 12 months ago, remains to be seen. The 20-year-old was used sparingly as a right-back last season, although Solskjaer often picked him further up the pitch.

And that's exactly where many United fans want to see him played when the 2019/20 campaign gets under way.

Wan-Bissaka is a more naturally defensive right-back, renowned by his tackling ability, while Dalot has shone for United when given the freedom to buccaneer down the flank.

United have Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian as reserve choices in the full-back positions, though with little back-up to Luke Shaw on the left side Young — who soon turns 34 — may be restricted to second choice left-back. Darmian is expected to depart amid interest from Italian clubs.

Solskjaer therefore has Shaw (23), Wan-Bissaka (21) and Dalot (20) as his main full-back, wing-back or perhaps even genuine wing options.
