Manchester United fans want the new striker partnership of Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani to stay after they combined expertly to score against Tottenham.
United were in need of a massive response following the 5-0 humiliation at the hands of Liverpool last week and that's exactly what they got in an almost comfortable 3-0 victory over Spurs.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer opted to change his formation for the match, ditching a troubled 4-2-3-1 and reverting to the 3-4-1-2 which has served him well in the past.
The formation also saw Ronaldo and Cavani play as a striking duo for the first time and the pair made magic together to double United's lead in the second half after the Portuguese had opened the scoring in the first 45 minutes with a stunning volley.
Fernandes set up the first goal and he was involved again for the second as he stole the ball of Oliver Skipp before passing it to Ronaldo. United's No.7 then pulled off a remarkable piece of skill to evade Skipp before playing a pinpoint through ball to Cavani, who easily rounded Hugo Lloris and slotted home.
It was a fantastic goal that showed the potential United's new striker partnership has and fans want to see a lot more of it.
Substitute Marcus Rashford would round off the win late on with another clinical finish as his own fine form since returning from injury continues.
At half-time, former Spurs man Jermaine Defoe was full of praise for Ronaldo's goal.
"It’s an unbelievable finish," he told Sky Sports. "If you watch his movement, the movement off the cross is unbelievable. He takes one step to keep himself onside and then spins in behind and the finish is unbelievable.
"These are the things you say to young strikers with volleys; always try stay relaxed and keep the ball low, always across the goalkeeper. He’s been doing this his whole career but the movement here is unbelievable. That’s a difficult finish from that angle."
