Manchester United fans make attacking demand ahead of Wolves fixture

Manchester United fans have urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to start Anthony Martial upfront when they travel to face Wolves on Monday night.

United go into the match looking to make it two wins from two in the Premier League, and supporters believe Martial is key to securing three points.

MEN Sport surveyed fans over the weekend asking which striker they would like to see lead the line for the match early next week.

3,627 supporters voted in the poll, with a staggering 74 per cent of them backing Martial to be the No.9 for the trip to Wolves.

Marcus Rashford came second in the poll with 19 per cent, while 7 per cent gave their backing to Academy star Mason Greenwood for the first away game of the season.

Replying to the social media poll one fan added: "Marcus Rashford is by far our best option to play on the left. That leaves Anthony Martial playing through the middle which is his best and preferred position."

While another supporter suggested that opting for a fluid front line would be the best option: "Think they should keep alternating through the game. Would be a nightmare for defenders."
