Manchester United fans make Alexis Sanchez demand as flop signing's revival continues

Alexis Sanchez found the back of the net again for Chile last night as he netted the winning penalty in their shoot-out victory over Colombia in the quarter-finals of the Copa America.

The game in Sao Paulo finished 0-0 after 90 minutes, meaning penalties were required to separate the two sides.

After each of the teams' opening four penalties were scored, William Tesillo's missed spot-kick for Colombia gave Sanchez the chance to fire holders Chile into the last four.

The 30-year-old stepped up and slotted home coolly, sending the Napoli goalkeeper David Ospina the wrong way before celebrating by taking his shirt off and running to the corner of the pitch.

Sanchez is the tournament's joint top scorer with two goals to his name and the striker's form for his country has got some United fans wondering whether he might not be a lost cause after all.

He's not been given the same amount of chances as Rashford.

Give him another opportunity.

Another clutch moment.

Hope is not lost.

He still has it in him.

Sanchez is elite.

All that's been missing is confidence.
