Manchester United fans love what Scott McTominay did to Arturo Vidal during Barcelona clash

It is safe to say Scott McTominay's stock has never been higher at Manchester United.

Although they fell to a 1-0 defeat against Barcelona on Wednesday night the Scotland international was the star performer during the Champions League fixture, and he showed fans just how far he has come this season.

McTominay bossed the midfield battle during the encounter with some supporters even suggesting he could be a future club captain after the game.

It was an overall impressive performance from the Scotland international, but there was one moment which stood out from the rest.

Late in the second-half of the match McTominay showed his classy footwork when he trapped the ball with his back to goal and dropped his shoulder before skinning the ball past Arutro Vidal.

The 22-year-old was oozing with confidence throughout the match but it was this one moment of brilliance which truly had supporters excited.

Man Utd player ratings: Ashley Young poor Scott McTominay good vs Barcelona
