Manchester United fans love what Scott McTominay did in first half vs Leicester

Much of the build up to Manchester United's fixture with Leicester in the Premier League focused on who would win the midfield battle, given Paul Pogba's absence on Saturday.

Pogba was ruled out with injury, while Leicester's midfield is highly rated as James Maddison, Youri Tielemans Wilfred Ndidi have started the season well.

With Pogba absent, Nemanja Matic was brought in to partner Scott McTominay and Juan Mata in the midfield three, with fans voicing their apprehension over how the trio would fare against Leicester's younger, more energetic midfielders.

But as United took an early lead at Old Trafford thanks to Marcus Rashford's early penalty, it was United who took control of the game, with McTominay coming out on top in the early battle with Maddison.

United have been monitoring Maddison ahead of a potential move next summer, so fans were eager to see how he fared at Old Trafford. But instead it was McTominay who made the England player quiet, as he continues his own fine start to the new season.
