Manchester United fans love what Mike Phelan tweeted ahead of Barcelona Champions League tie

Manchester United coach Mike Phelan has provided supporters with a unique perspective on the club since joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's coaching staff in December - and the former midfielder was at it again on Twitter ahead of the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Barcelona.

The Reds are a goal down from the first leg after Luis Suarez's 13th-minute strike cannoned in off Luke Shaw, but United's encouraging performance after conceding has offered reason for hope.

United became the first team in the history of the European Cup to reverse a two-goal deficit away from home in the knock-out stages with their 3-1 victory over Paris in the last-16.

It was Solskjaer's finest hour to date as United manager, and the Norwegian will have to oversee further heroics at the Camp Nou on Tuesday night to ensure the Reds' progression to the semi-finals for the first time since 2011.

The Reds went through their final preparations on the pitch at the Camp Nou on Monday night and Phelan posted a picture of fellow first-team coach testing out the surface.
