Manchester United fans were greeted with the sight of Nemanja Matic and club legend Nemanja Vidic on their Instagram feeds, as the pair posed for a photo on the social media site.
Vidic is one of the fanbase's most beloved players to have lined out for United in the last 20 years after enjoying a glorious eight-year spell at the club.
Matic posted the picture of him and his compatriot with the caption "We come from Serbia" — a nod to the famous chant about Vidic that is still popular among the Old Trafford faithful to this day.
United fans were unsurprisingly loving the image and professed their admiration for the former defender in the comment section, saying he is the best defender the Premier League has ever seen and how much they miss his presence in the team.
Naturally enough the comments were also awash with fire emojis, while on Twitter one user noted "We literally had two of the greatest Nemanjas in football play for us."
Former United skipper Vidic won the Uefa Champions League with United in 2008, as well as five Premier League titles and the Fifa Club World Cup. He was also a two-time Premier League Player of the Season, underlining just how spectacular he was at the heart of United's defence.
What the club's supporters would do now to have a player like him back in the team.
