Manchester United fans issue predictable Erling Haaland demand after Jadon Sancho message

Manchester United fans are calling on Erling Haaland to put his Jadon Sancho disappointment behind him and join the England forward at Old Trafford.

A move four years in the making, Sancho has finally agreed a deal to sign for United this summer, with the club expected to pay £72.9million for his sought-after signature. It's thought the transfer will go through soon after Euro 2020 ends.

As for Haaland, meanwhile, speculation over his own Borussia Dortmund future continues to mount after his agent Mino Raiola held talks with Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid earlier this year.

Those meetings were followed up by similar discussions at four Premier League clubs — including United.

But any prospect of Haaland leaving the Germany side during this window appears to have been negated by the sale of Sancho despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's admiration for his fellow countryman.

However, the Norway goalscoring sensation does have a release clause in his contract that is set to become active next year — when United or other potential suitors might come calling.

In response to an image posted by Sancho on social media platform Instagram, his soon-to-be former teammate replied with a 'crying face' emoji, prompting a mixed reaction from United supporters.

Here are a selection of comments made by fans, about Haaland, as the club's transfer business rumbles on:

@GloryGloryManUnited said: "Why so upset? Who doesn't want to play for the best club in England? It's still not too late if you want to join us, too."

@BlackWhite posted: "Don't get so upset, Haaland. You will play with him again next season at Man United..."

@Gianpuah added: "This article tells you that Haaland and his father Alfie doesn't like United. Just write him off from our wish list and find an alternative striker. Let's not waste time on him. Surely there is still someone who is interested in coming?"

@GilDamo81 said: "Sure, he can come too."

@MuminZayd posted: "They can still re-unite if our board can work on Haaland deal."

@UtdFansOwnUtd added: "If he's unhappy about losing his strike-partner, he should just join United next season and be re-United..."
