Manchester United fans have called on Roy Keane to become the next manager of the club as the hiring process continues.
The Red Devils have continued their lacklustre form as they drew 1-1 against Leicester at the weekend.
Ajax manager Erik ten Hag and PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino are the two favourites for the role with an announcement expected in the coming weeks.
But some fans are calling for Roy Keane to take the job with many feeling the Cork man's no nonsense approach is needed in the dressing room.
Taking to social media, one user wrote: "If I’m Man Utd I’m interviewing 2 people for this Managers job Roy Keane and Massimiliano Allegri don’t waste time on anyone else!"
While another said: "As much as I've said no to Roy Keane as manager it might actually be time."
But some users view Keane as an assistant manager, with one saying: "Good as assistant but not as manager."
While another said: "Imagine van persie and Roy as assistants for ten hag"
While another said: "Manchester United needs a rough manager with rough assistant manager to build this club back on. Manager : Diego Simeone Assistant Manager: Roy Keane"
Keane was previously linked to a return to management with Sunderland but a deal fell through but the former Republic of Ireland assistant has made it no secret that he desires a return to management in the future.
