Manchester United fans in hysterics as Leeds United crash out of FA Cup to Crawley Town... who played a TOWIE star

Manchester United fans are enjoying a good laugh at the expense of Leeds United after the Yorkshire side were dumped out of the FA Cup by Crawley Town.

The FA Cup third round, which sees Premier League sides enter the competition, has been played this weekend and, while United successfully navigated past Watford with a 1-0 win, there have been plenty of upsets so far.

The biggest of which being League Two's Crawley thumping Leeds, who are 12th in the Premier League, 3-0 at the Broadfield Stadium.

Nick Tsaroulla scored the opener in the second-half with a stunning strike. First he turned a poor defender in knots by twice twisting past him, then drove by another challenge before firing into the far corner.

Just three minutes later and the lead was doubled as Ashley Nadesan was sent through down the right and his shot squirmed in at the near post. Things went from bad to worse for Leeds as the win was sealed when a goal mouth scramble resulted in Jordan Tunnicliffe firing home from close range.

To rub further salt in the wounds, in added time Crawley substituted on former The Only Way is Essex star and radio DJ Mark Wright for his FA Cup debut at the age of 33.

United handed a battering of their own to Leeds last month with a thrilling 6-2 win at Old Trafford but fans came away from the victory frustrated with the praise that the Whites, as well as manager Marcelo Bielsa, continued to receive despite the score-line.

While United fans rarely need an excuse to revel in Leeds' misfortune, they have particular enjoyed today's defeat as a result.

After their victory, Crawley will join United in the hat for the fourth round draw which will be held on Monday at around 7pm, ahead of Stockport County vs West Ham.

In an unusual move, the draw for the fifth round will then be held immediately afterwards in order to allow clubs a better understanding of their fixture schedule during a condensed season.
