Manchester United fans identify what they've been missing ahead of Leicester fixture

Manchester United fans believe that the return of Luke Shaw is vital for the club's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.

United could only manage a 1-1 draw with lowly West Ham on Wednesday as their run of poor performances continued.

A win would have seen United move three points clear of Leicester City and hold a goal difference advantage over them going into the final day of the season, on which the two teams will meet at the King Power.

Fans are understandably nervous about the match given United's form over the last four games, in which they have won just once, and think that Shaw's return could be key to emerging from that match against Leicester with a positive result.

The left-back has missed the last three matches with an ankle injury he suffered in the 2-2 draw against Southampton, with United lacking width, balance and composure down the left in his absence.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was hopeful he would be back fit for the visit of the Hammers so, although he missed the game, he may not be far from a return which supporters desperately want to see.

United went behind against West Ham after Paul Pogba stopped a shot in the box that was hurtling towards his face with his hands. Michail Antonio netted the spot kick but United leveled in the second-half with Mason Greenwood's 17th goal of the season.

Though the teenager saved Pogba's blushes somewhat, club great Gary Neville was not impressed by the Frenchman.

"He’s given a penalty away and he’s pretending it’s hit his head," Neville said during co-commentary. "It’s rubbish from him. Rubbish. To think, I felt a little bit sorry for him, I thought he took a whack on the head.

"Embarrassing. I don’t know why VAR are looking at it for this long, to be honest - it’s a penalty. He shakes his head. Is he trying to make out he’s got a bloody nose? No-brainer, I don’t know what he’s looking at.”
