Manchester United fans hope for Brandon Williams statement against Brighton

Manchester United fans think Brandon Williams can make the left-back spot his own after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named his starting XI to face Brighton in the Premier League.

After slipping to 14th in the table following yesterday's results, United are looking to rise up to seventh with a much-needed win against Brighton. However, Solskjaer's men have won just one of their last six in the league and will hope to record their first home win in the Premier League since September 14.

Solskjaer named a strong side to try and get that victory, with David de Gea coming back in goal after being rested for the Europa League.

Williams replaced the suspended Ashley Young to make his first Premier League start, alongside Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in defence.

Scott McTominay and Fred continue in midfield, with Andreas Pereira in the attacking role of the central trio.

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial are joined by Daniel James in attack, who replaces Mason Greenwood.

And fans felt Williams has the opportunity to impress at left-back and show Solskjaer he has enough to become the first-choice in that position ahead of Young and Luke Shaw.
