Manchester United fans hit back at hypocritical Liverpool FC trophy claims

Manchester United fans have hit back at Liverpool trophy claims following their victory in the Uefa Super Cup on Wednesday night.

Jurgen Klopp's side secured their first silverware of the season thanks to a victory against Chelsea in the showpiece European football fixture.

Victory for Liverpool saw them secure their 61st major trophy, still five off United who lead the way as the most successful English club with 66.

However, many Liverpool supporters still seem to think they have a claim as the most successful English side because they believe the Community Shield shouldn't count.

United have won six more Charity Shields than Liverpool, and as a result some fans believe it means that Klopp's side deserve the accolade.

This has not gone down well with United fans who have accused Liverpool supporters of hypocrisy for choosing to count the European Super Cup but not the English Super Cup to suit their argument.
