Manchester United fans hijack Memphis Depay's latest Instagram post

Manchester United fans have hijacked Memphis Depay's Instagram to try and convince Jadon Sancho to join the club after the former United forward posted a photo of the pair together.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring young, talented, preferably British players to Old Trafford this summer as he rebuilds his squad and he's already gotten off to a good start.

Young Welsh winger Daniel James has been signed from Swansea City and a transfer fee has been agreed with Crystal Palace for 21-year-old right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the deal expected to be completed soon.

One player it seems as though Solskjaer won't get his hands on this summer though is Sancho.

Solskjaer was eager to bring the 19-year-old back to Manchester this summer following an breakout season with Borussia Dortmund.

He spearheaded the German side's first title challenge in years with 12 goals and 17 assists in 34 games.

After becoming a regular he is already being touted for transfers worth 10 times the £7m Dortmund paid to Man City for the teenager.

However, it's expected that he will remain at Dortmund this summer, with United's failure to qualify for the Champions League set to put Sancho off any potential move.

That hasn't stopped United fans from dreaming of the transfer and some of them have been asking former United forward Memphis to convince him to make the move, with some even asking for the Dutchman to make a return as well, after they were pictured on holiday together in Los Angeles.

'Make him come to United next season,' one said while another pleaded 'just say to him to join United.'

Another supporter said 'both of you come to United,' while other reactions read: 'come to United boiz and change the game forever,' 'come to Manchester United' with accompanying love hearts, 'both of them to United,' 'Sancho and Memphis join United, thanks' and 'we would love you both at Manchester United!'

Since leaving United after a disappointing spell in 2017, Memphis has gone on to be an important striker for Lyon and the Netherlands and is now being linked with a move back to the Premier League.
