Manchester United fans hijack Aaron Wan-Bissaka's Twitter post

Manchester United supporters have urged Aaron Wan-Bissaka to sign for the club amid the Reds' interest in the Crystal Palace right-back.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a keen admirer of the England under-21 international, with Wan-Bissaka matching the profile of player around whom the Norwegian plans to centre his rebuild of the first-team at Old Trafford.

The Reds had a bid of £40 million rejected for the defender last week but are believed to be prepared to up their offer.

Solskjaer is keen to strengthen his options at full-back, with Ashley Young, Diogo Dalot and Matteo Darmian currently available to him for the right-back position.

Young turns 34 next month while Dalot, 20, failed to nail down a regular starting berth last season. Darmian, the Italy international, is believed to be considered surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

Wan Bissaka, 21, impressed for Palace in his first full campaign of Premier League football last season with three assists in 35 appearances.

It earned him a spot in England's under-21 squad for this summer's European Championship, and United fans on Twitter voiced their clamour for the defender to seal an Old Trafford move on his return from the competition.

' United this way'

'Come and claim the right-back position'

'And then United medical?'

'Red suits you'

'Hope to see you in a United shirt'

'We need you at Old Trafford'

'Can't wait to see you at United'
