Manchester United fans have transfer theory after Jadon Sancho calls Jesse Lingard on Instagram

Manchester United fans are convinced Jadon Sancho is heading to Old Trafford after the Borussia Dortmund star was joined on his Instagram live by Jesse Lingard.

The 19-year-old is a priority target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the back of his exceptional season in the Bundesliga, netting 14 goals and registering 15 assists in the league so far.

Various reports suggest Sancho has decided to leave Dortmund at the end of the season and club CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke hinted the club would be willing to let their prized asset leave if he wishes to do so.

During the break from professional football, Sancho took questions from fans on his official Instagram page and was later joined by United star Lingard.

Lingard and Sancho are international teammates for England and fans were quick to jump to the conclusion that the Dortmund star would be heading to Old Trafford in the next transfer window.

Here is how they reacted on social media:

Lingard isn't the only Manchester United player to have interacted with Sancho recently.

A United supporter sent a cheeky request to the forward, pledging to donate money to the charity FairShare if Marcus Rashford could have a word with Sancho, presumably about a switch the Reds.

Rashford duly obliged and tagged the 19-year-old in his response writing: "Oi @Sanchooo10. There's my little word."

Fans were quick to respond to his tweet, believing Rashford is laying the groundwork for Sancho to return to England.
