Manchester United fans have theory after Paul Pogba's cryptic tweet

Manchester United fans are convinced that Paul Pogba is set to sign a new extended contract at the club.

That is after Pogba tweeted the word: "TOMORROW" and a set of eyes, in what fans are viewing as a major hint over his future.

The 27-year-old's future has been up in the air for some time and earlier this season he looked destined to leave United. His current contract expires in June 2021, albeit with the option of an additional year, though his agent Mino Raiola has been vocal about Pogba's desire to find a new challenge. Real Madrid and Pogba's former club Juventus had been heavily linked.

But Pogba returned from ankle surgery to play a major part in the Premier League restart for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side and help United clinch third place. He developed an exciting relationship with January signing Bruno Fernandes, which bore fruit on the pitch.

And after Pogba played the full 120 minutes on Monday evening in United's 1-0 victory over Copenhagen in the Europa League quarter-final, fans believe he is ready to commit his future to the club. Some have even suggested Pogba's tweet could relate to United's pursuit of Jadon Sancho.

Pogba, of course, came through the academy ranks at United, before leaving for Italy in 2012 and returning in 2016 for a then-world record fee.

Here's what supporters said after Pogba's cryptic "tomorrow" tweet, which emerged on Tuesday afternoon:

However, Pogba has since moved to dispel United fans' speculation and has revealed that the announcement won't be related to football.

He tweeted: "One clue for tomorrow... nothing about football," with a laughing and detective emoji.
