Manchester United fans have the same query after team named vs Man City

Manchester United fans have voiced their concern at Luke Shaw's inclusion in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team for this evening's Manchester derby.

United travel to the Etihad Stadium today to take on a City side who have already lost three games and drawn two this season. Solskjaer's side could move to within eight points of City with a surprise win in the derby.

Solskjaer's team for the game included two changes from the one that beat Tottenham at Old Trafford in midweek. Anthony Martial returns in place of Mason Greenwood up front while Ashley Young drops out to accommodate Shaw at left-back.

Shaw is making his first league start for United since August after recovering from a hamstring injury, while Martial's absence lasted just one game, the win over Spurs. The former Southampton star made his full return in the Europa League defeat to Astana last month after coming off during a United loss to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford earlier in the campaign.

Martial's return has been largely welcomed by fans, with the Frenchman proving a key player for United this season.

But Shaw's return is something of a surprise, given Young's solid showing against Spurs and the form of Brandon Williams while deputising at left-back this season.

This is what United fans said on social media, as some voiced their concern over whether Shaw was the right pick. There were others, however, who believe United's first choice back four is now in place again.

United team: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; McTominay, Fred; James, Lingard, Rashford; Martial.
