Manchester United fans have the same message for Paul Pogba after Everton admission

Manchester United supporters have questioned Paul Pogba's attitude after the midfielder admitted United's players 'disrespected' the club with their performance in the 4-0 thrashing by Everton on Sunday.

United were abject all across the pitch at Goodison Park to extend their poor run of form to six defeats in eight games.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said afterwards that there were players in the first-team squad at Old Trafford who would not be at the club to enjoy the success he promised to bring after singing a three-and-a-half year contract in March.

The Norwegian said he didn't know if the players on his books cared enough after United's worst display of the season, and Pogba echoed his manager's comments ahead of Wednesday night's Manchester derby at Old Trafford.

”What I understood on this is when you wear this shirt at this club it is, first of all, because you deserve it, but when you deserve it, you have to work, respect the culture, the history of this club and give everything on the pitch," the France midfielder said when asked by Sky Sports about Solskjaer's concerns.

Paul Pogba hits out at Manchester United mentality after Everton defeat

Paul Pogba reveals what was said in Manchester United dressing room after Everton defeat

“What we did on the pitch is not respectful for the team-mates, for the staff, for the people, for the kitman, for everyone.

"For their work, they put their life on us, the team and this club. What we showed on the pitch, we did not give them the joy back and that’s why we are angry with ourselves."

And there was a common theme among United supporters on Twitter, who reacted angrily to the 26-year-old's admission.

'Do it then'

'Start doing it then'

'Show it on the pitch'

'Well do it then'

'Doing nothing on the pitch'

'You've had your chance'
