Alarm bells are ringing with Manchester United supporters amid reports Unai Emery is closing in on the Newcastle United managerial vacancy.
A four-time Europa League winner, the Spaniard got the better of United and under-pressure Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the Gdansk showpiece last season following a dramatic penalty shootout.
Emery's monopoly on that competition has seen him remain as one of the most highly-rated coaches in Europe.
That's despite an ill-fated spell in charge at Arsenal.
After a seismic, yet controversial, £305million takeover was passed in October, the Saudi-backed Magpies have yet to replace Steve Bruce in the dugout, but Emery is now reported to have 'held talks' with key figures in the north east.
That news has been reported by our sister publication ChronicleLive as suggestions of a settlement continue.
Needless to say, it's sparked attention from Premier League fans across the board. Here are a sample of comments from United fans:

@ZolaNotorous 1 posted: "So the plan is for Ole to outperform Pep, Tuchel, Klopp, Conte and Unai Emery over 38 games? Good luck."
@United4Ever10 added: "If Newcastle get Emery then the second worst team in the league will have a far better manager than us."

@MedullaryRed posted: "If Emery comes and takes the Newcastle job, then we will have the current UCL winner (Tuchel), Scudetto winner (Conte), UEL winner (Emery), serial PL winner (Pep) and former UCL and PL winner (Klopp) in the PL. Throw in Rodgers, Moyes and Potter. The competition will be insane."
@Shaaz2277 added: "Times when United dominated Europe are long gone, we're not even dominating Manchester anymore. Next it's Emery at Newcastle with cash."
